These first photos were taken at Bird Hills. It was the first place I went, just because I thought it would be a good area to take pictures. At the beginning of the path on the right there is a stump from a big tree. I thought it would be interesting to have as a focus in my photos.
The logs were to the left of the path at the entrance. They were all in a pile so I decided that it was interesting enough to take photographs of. I took one shot of them off to the side, and one shot of them close up, just to have some varitey. The Bird Hills area is really ncie to walk in the fall, so if it had been warmer and not slippery I would have taken more pictures here.
I can’t recall where these were taken since all of the wooded areas in winter look exactly the same. Making sure that all the photos were unique for this project was definitely a challenge because of that. The second picture I called “Perspective” because I took it at an angle that makes the photo have depth.
I’m not sure what happened to the watercolored photo in this set, but it definitely doesn’t look the way I wanted it to. The river here kind of looks like a crescent - hence the name “Cresent”. I think this was taken in a neighborhood near Skyline, where there's a little boardwalk that I would like to visit in the warmer months.
These were taken near some little pond or other. You can kind of see it in the back of the watercolor photo. For the second picture, I decided to get up close to the snow and take a picture from a lower perspective. People don’t usually see things from a lower vantage point, making this image unique in it’s own way.
MY LANDSCAPES
The following landscapes are ones that I really like, but didn't take in time so I could use them in this class. These were taken on Lake Huron, when the waves had pushed ice from Canada to the shore into these big mounds. I decided not to edit them very much or put any filters on them so you can just see how much ice was really there.
